The agricultural vernacular of Cakebread Cellars winery is timeless in its design, with clear, redwood vertical siding and minimal overhangs, reminiscent of the California coastal style. Large, vertical cupolas with skylights bring light and ventilation into the cathedral-like fermentation room below, which is organized by a main aisle with symmetrical, stainless steel tanks on both sides. Primarily used for operational purposes, three large metal catwalks bridge over the main aisle, providing additional visual interest. Several private tasting rooms overlook the fermentation and barrel rooms below, and a bountiful, organic garden located next to the winery provides farm-to-table vegetables for dinners and events.
