The administrative offices of Nickel and Nickel Winery reside in the restored Gleason Barn. The storybook barn, built circa 1770 in New Hampshire, was dismantled, transported, and reassembled at the winery and given modern upgrades to bring it into the 21st century. Unpretentious steel stairs and glass railings lead to the open lofts on the second and third stories and are integrated with the exposed timber beams and wide plank interior boards. A distinguishable central roof cupola, brick-red French doors, and double-hung windows were added to bring in natural light and ventilation. This charming barn is now considered the oldest in California.
